Question 1

How does a book with my child's name work?

Accepted Answer

You type in a name and upload one photo. The name appears in the title and all the way through the story, and the main hero takes on your child's likeness. You choose the world, the plot and the illustration style. You can flip through the finished book online, polish the text and then order a printed copy.

Question 2

Can I get the book printed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can order a print of your finished e-book at any time — a full-colour A4 hardback, delivered right to your door. Perfect when the book needs to last as a gift, not just sit as a file on your phone.

Question 3

How much does the book cost?

Accepted Answer

The digital book costs £5.99 — you can flip through it online, download it as a PDF and, if you like, add an audiobook for £2.99. The printed A4 hardback costs £24.99 + delivery £4.99. Everything is set out clearly in the price list.

Question 4

What exactly do I get when I order a book?

Accepted Answer

A made-to-measure digital book: you can flip through it online in the reader, download it as a PDF and, if you like, add an audiobook for £2.99. Once the digital book is finished, you can also order a printed version — a large A4 hardback in full colour — for £24.99 + delivery.

Question 5

Will I see a preview before I pay?

Accepted Answer

Before you pay, you see exactly what the book will be made from: the heroes based on your photo, the world and the plot, the illustration style, and the suggested title with a synopsis. You can also flip through other parents' finished books in our Examples.

Question 6

How long does it take for the book to be ready?

Accepted Answer

We start working on your book as soon as you order. It's usually ready within 15 minutes — we'll e-mail you as soon as you can flip through it.

Question 7

What kind of photo should I upload?

Accepted Answer

A sharp portrait, good lighting, the face clearly visible — and just one person in the photo. JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB; you can fine-tune the crop right in the guide. The photo doesn't have to be perfect — the AI uses it to create an illustrated hero, not a copy.

Question 8

Can the book feature several children or the whole family?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can add up to 5 characters, up to 3 of them main heroes. A main hero needs a photo; for supporting characters it's optional (but it helps with the likeness).

Question 9

Can I edit the text of the book?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time. Sign in, open the book in the editor, rewrite any text you like and the PDF regenerates itself (usually in 1–2 minutes). You can choose a different font, too.

Question 10

What happens to the photo I upload?

Accepted Answer

We use your photo solely to create the illustrations for your book. It's kept in private storage (never publicly accessible); we don't share it and we don't use it to train AI. We'll delete it on request — details in our Privacy Policy.

Question 11

What age is the book suitable for?

Accepted Answer

You enter the hero's age when creating the book, and we adapt the length of the text and the vocabulary — from short tales for the littlest ones (0–1, 2–5) to longer stories for schoolchildren (6–8, 9–12).

Question 12

Can I return the book?

Accepted Answer

The book is made to measure for a specific child, so both the digital and the printed version fall under the statutory exception to the right of withdrawal — it can't be returned without giving a reason. But if the book arrives damaged, badly printed or something else isn't right, we'll arrange a fix or a new book at our expense. Drop us a line — we handle complaints fairly and quickly.
