Question 1

How does a book with my child's name work?

Accepted Answer

You type in a name and upload one photo. The name appears in the title and all the way through the story, and the main hero takes on your child's likeness. You choose the world, the plot and the illustration style. You can flip through the finished book online, polish the text and then order a printed copy.

Question 2

What exactly do I get when I order a book?

Accepted Answer

A made-to-measure digital book: you can flip through it online in the reader, download it as a PDF and, if you like, add an audiobook for £2.99. Once the digital book is finished, you can also order a printed version — a large A4 hardback in full colour — for £24.99 + delivery.

Question 3

Can I get the book printed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can order a print of your finished e-book at any time — a full-colour A4 hardback, delivered right to your door. Perfect when the book needs to last as a gift, not just sit as a file on your phone.

Question 4

How many pages does the book have?

Accepted Answer

The book has a cover with the hero's name, a dedication page, 12 full-page illustrated spreads telling the story, and a closing page.

Question 5

What does the printed book look like?

Accepted Answer

A4 portrait (21 × 29.7 cm), a sturdy hardback binding, thick coated paper (170 gsm) for vivid colours and a luxurious look, and full-colour printing. When you order, you choose a matt or a gloss cover.

Question 6

Do you also sell paperbacks?

Accepted Answer

No — we only print hardbacks. The book is a gift meant to last for years, and we want it to survive hundreds of readings. If you're after something cheaper, go for the digital version with the PDF.

Question 7

What format does the digital book come in?

Accepted Answer

The book lives in your account as an interactive flipbook, and you can download it as a high-quality PDF whenever you like.

Question 8

Can I share the digital book with my family?

Accepted Answer

Yes — in the reader, click ‘Share book’ and send the link to Granny, for example (WhatsApp, Facebook, e-mail). She can read the book, audiobook included, without signing up. The shared link doesn't allow PDF downloads — those stay with you alone.

Question 9

Will I see a preview before I pay?

Accepted Answer

Before you pay, you see exactly what the book will be made from: the heroes based on your photo, the world and the plot, the illustration style, and the suggested title with a synopsis. You can also flip through other parents' finished books in our Examples.

Question 10

How do I read the book on the website?

Accepted Answer

In the reader, you turn the pages with the arrows or your keyboard, or by swiping on your phone. If the book has an audiobook, the pages turn by themselves as the story is read aloud.
