Can I change the look of the cover after the book has been created?

The cover illustration can't be changed once the book has been created. If you'd like to change something on the cover, get in touch — we'll look at it case by case.

Can I change the hero's photo in the book?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, the hero's likeness can't be changed once the book is finished. Allowing that would mean regenerating the entire book from scratch.

Question 3

Can I edit the text of the book?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time. Sign in, open the book in the editor, rewrite any text you like and the PDF regenerates itself (usually in 1–2 minutes). You can choose a different font, too.

Question 4

I don't like one of the illustrations. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

You can regenerate any illustration — 3 regenerations are included in the price, and the editor shows how many you have left. The new version is created as a variant: you choose which one stays, and you can go back to the original at any time. Regenerations work when you're signed in.

Question 5

What if I use up my free regenerations?

Accepted Answer

You can buy more right in the editor for £0.29 each (1–20 at a time).

Something looks odd in an illustration (an extra hand, missing characters…)

We automatically check every illustration as it's generated and regenerate anything suspicious straight away. If something still slips through, use a regeneration — and if that doesn't help, drop us a line and we'll sort it out.

Question 7

Can I change the illustration style after the book has been created?

Accepted Answer

The style is chosen while you create the book and applies to the whole book. Regenerating individual illustrations keeps the chosen style, so a finished book can't be converted to a different style.

Question 8

Can I edit the dedication and the ‘The hero of this book is…’ page?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you can edit both the dedication and the dedication spread with the hero's name in the editor at any time. And if the book doesn't have a dedication yet, simply write one and, once you save it, it will be added to the dedication spread.
